Watching the dragon boat race is one of the main events in the Dragon Boat Festival. There are different dragon boat race events commencing all over Hong Kong on June 7, 2019. These race events will have more than just boat racing. There are special events coming with the races such as music festivals, crafts, and game booths which will keep you entertained for sure!

Swimming and Dragon Boat Festival
Swimming is one of the tradition in Dragon Boat Festival , people believe that swimming on that day can protect people from diseases and misfortunes. We have some recommendations on the public swimming pools for you to wash your misfortunes and enjoy your day with fun water slides!
1. Tseung Kwan O Swimming Pool
The height of the water slides is 3.65m and 6.25m and it contains plunge pool too. Best for family visit.
2. Sai Kung Swimming Pool
The height of the water slides is 4.1m. If you are afraid of crowd, this will be one of your choices.
3. Ma On Shan Swimming Pool
It contains the highest water slides in Hong Kong! The height of the water slides is 4.3m and 9m and made it the fastest water slide in Hong Kong.
4, Hin Tin Swimming Pool
The height of the water slides is 4.22m. There is a cute whale statues next to the water slide with water gun in the splash pool for your kids as well.

5. Tsing Yi Swimming Pool
The height of the water slides is 4.85m. It is a good place to start if water slide is new for you. The slope of this slide is not steep so the speed will not be too fast.
6. Shing Mun Valley Swimming Pool
The height of the water slides is 4.2m. The selling point of this swimming pool is the layered design which give you and your family a unique sliding experience.
7. Tin Shui Wai Swimming Pool
The height of the water slides is 8m. The design of this slide is similar to the Ma On Shan Swimming Pool and is the third highest slide in Hong Kong.
8. Sheung Shui Swimming Pool
The height of the water slides is 4.4m. The design of the water slide is the same as the slide you can see in the kids playground. There is no corner in this slide which make you feel the gravity and water stream at top speed!
9. Tai Po Swimming Pool
The height of the water slides is from 6.5m to 8.5m. There are 6 water slides occupying 1/4 of the pool, which is the biggest in scale of all swimming pool in Hong Kong. From the tallest to shortest (and fastest and slowest), you will find the right slide for yourself.
For all of these swimming pool, the entry fee is $17 per section, which is the cheapest you can get in Hong Kong. Keep in mind that the he session breaks are 12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m & 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.
